Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior IT Specialist to take full ownership of our internal IT operations, infrastructure stability, vendor coordination, security oversight, and business systems enablement.
This role goes beyond incident management - it is a strategic and operational backbone function ensuring reliability, scalability, documentation maturity, and business-aligned IT execution.
The ideal candidate brings technical expertise, strong business context understanding, and the ability to independently manage and continuously improve IT environments.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & Infrastructure Ownership
Own end-to-end internal IT infrastructure (network, cloud, endpoints, identity, backup)
Provide on-site and remote support as part of core role
Ensure system uptime, performance, and proactive issue prevention
Act as operational backup for IT administrator responsibilities
2. Business Systems & Project Support
Support business-critical platforms (e.g., Assai, NetSuite, MDR, etc.)
Collaborate with business stakeholders on system improvements and automation
Participate in and support business transformation projects
Bridge technical and functional requirements
3. Vendor & MSP Management
Act as primary liaison for external MSP and specialized vendors
Monitor SLA performance and ensure accountability
Coordinate cross-vendor initiatives (security, backup, cloud, compliance)
Escalate deep technical issues when necessary
4. Process Documentation & Governance
Own and maintain:
SOPs
Runbooks
Architecture documentation
Governance documentation
Ensure operational continuity and knowledge retention
Drive documentation maturity across IT processes
5. Security & Compliance Support
Oversee security tooling integration (SIEM, MDR, conditional access, etc.)
Ensure alignment with compliance and governance standards
Monitor risk exposure and recommend mitigation strategies
Act as internal security champion
6. Strategic IT Contribution
Contribute to infrastructure and cloud strategy
Support scalability planning as the organization grows
Optimize cost structure while maintaining performance
Identify automation opportunities during low workload periods
7. Knowledge Retention & Context Ownership
Maintain deep contextual knowledge of company systems
Ensure internal capability is not dependent solely on external vendors
Improve operational resilience through knowledge centralization

Job requirements
Required Qualifications
8+ years experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or IT operations
Strong experience in:
Microsoft 365 / Azure AD / Intune
Cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS)
Networking fundamentals
Backup & disaster recovery
Endpoint management
Experience managing MSPs or third-party vendors
Strong documentation discipline
Ability to work independently with high ownership
Preferred
Experience in mid-sized, high-growth environments
Exposure to MS 365/Azure AD/Intune
Exposure to ERP systems
Security tooling integration experience
Process improvement / automation mindset
